Teaching Kids To Read And Understand Genre Types

A category of literature which is defined by the pattern or structure of a literary work is known as a genre. Literature in the same genre share the same characteristics of plot, tone, mood, settings, characters and themes. These literary elements are included in both children's and adult literature. A genre type can also have a subgenre. For example, in the fantasy genre, the subgenres include traditional fantasy, historical fantasy, urban fantasy and romantic fantasy.
